We will first need you to complete our contact form found in the contact section of our website. Please include in the message section any specific details like free hand, converting, colour schemes and specific paint colours along with any other information that you would like us to know. Please also include what miniatures you want commissioned and their quantities – this can be by unit, squad or formation. We will need to know if you are supplying the miniatures or if you would like to purchase them through us using the discount that we gain from our suppliers. Finally we need to know which of our four levels (Platinum, Gold, Silver & Bronze) you would like for the basing and painting of your miniatures.
Please feel free to email us any supporting images that you would like us to take influence from. Once we are fully aware of what you would like, we will send you a completely broken down quote covering all aspects of your commission. If and when you are happy to proceed we will then need a 50% deposit of the total quoted. This is to be paid upfront to secure your project into the studio. Please note that if you are purchasing models through the studio then these will need to be paid upfront and on top of your 50% deposit.
Once your deposit is paid, you will receive a spec completion sheet outlining your quote and allowing you to include notes and information that will be passed to the artist completing your commission. Please feel free, over the course of the completion period, to request WIP photo updates of your commission. We do post all commission photos on our Instagram, Twitter, our Blog and Facebook so it is easier to keep up to date on our social media platforms should you wish.
Once your commission has been completed you will received a set of photos showing the completed models along with a final invoice for the remaining 50% of the total payable. This final invoice is to be paid within 14 days of our completion email containing full HD images of your completed commission.
Once paid, your commission will then be posted to you via our preferred postal service and you will be supplied with photo poof of postage and/or a tracking number and a link to where you can track your commission.

If we do not receive the remainder of the total payable within 14 days of us sending our completion email & photos, Siege Studios Limited reserves the right to keep models to recoup any losses incurred from client failure to pay final invoice within payment period. Please note that all payment extension periods must be requested in writing or email and agreed with us in writing at the start of a commission or during. Failure to do this is at your own risk.
If you choose to send us your models, please make sure that they are fully cleaned of all mould lines and completely prepared ready for us to begin working on them. Also, if you are sending part assembled and or part under-coated models for us to work with we will assess them prior to accepting them in to the studio. Siege Studios Limited reserves the right, in all instances, to decline models into the studio if we feel that they are not in a reasonable state to work with. Please note that Siege Studios Limited offers a cleaning and building service all of which are charged separately at affordable rates.
We calculate postage costs based on weight, parcel size, Packaging Materials and the location it is being posted to. Postage is paid along with and on top of the final 50% invoice once a commission is completed and you, our client, have received your completion email with all photos of the completed models. We use international postal services along with the Royal Mail for UK postage. For security and safety all our parcels are posted tracked and insured which does cost a little more but guarantees your parcel arriving safely and on time. We will not post out parcels for any lesser postal service unless specifically requested by you our client, please note if you request a lesser service, Siege Studios Limited will not be held responsible for lost or damaged parcels.
Are you taking commissions currently?

Do you have a minimum commission cost?
Not a minimum cost as such, but the minimum commission size will we take on is 10 Infantry sized models, or 1 individual character model / large singular model. If your enquiry meets either of those requirements, you’re good to go at whatever painting tier required. If you’re unsure that your commission reaches those requirements, feel free to submit an enquiry regardless and we can advise on whether we would be able to move forward with your request.
What do I need to include in my enquiry?
We have a specific model list format that we require all enquiries to be written in that allow us to give you a bespoke, comprehensive quote that will help you best understand what you are paying for when it comes to your commission. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept both PayPal and electronic bank transfer.
Do you have a payment plan option?
We completely understand that when purchasing a premium commission such as those offered here at Siege that paying in one go might not be an option for everyone. We’d be happy to split your Completion Payment in multiple payment steps if this would help you. Where are you based? Do you ship internationally?
Siege Studios is based in the UK, along with our entire painting team, however we will happily ship projects internationally and have done regularly since our very first year as a business. For more information on international shipping don’t hesitate to ask.
Do you include customs charges in your prices?
No. Unfortunately, although more often than not products such as painted miniatures are exempt from any import tax or similar charge, this can differ between not only the individual projects but also their destination country, size, value and country of origin among other things. Any additional charges such as, but not limited to, customs fees and import taxes are at the responsibility of the recipient to pay and not Siege Studios. Can you have my models ready for a deadline?
If you have a specific date that you want your models for, such as a tournament or big game day, feel free to mention this on your enquiry and we can check this compared to our current workbook, waiting times and size of the job to see how close we can get to your deadline for you.
We will try our best to accommodate for your deadline but I’m sure you understand that when offering the quality of work that we do here at Siege, a quick turnaround will never be prioritised ahead of producing work above the industry standard.
I want an army painted to your Bronze tier. Why is Silver the minimum painting tier for characters?
The Siege team are character specialists, meaning they paint character models to a certain standard with a certain level of detail that just isn’t quite matched at our Bronze tier. On top of this, Character models are painted from start to finish and not part of a batch painted group, unit or squad meaning that once a painter has started your character, they will dedicate all of their attention on it until it’s finished before moving on to the next part of the commission. This, again, is a level of attention and care that best suits a minimum tier of Silver.
Will you build & convert a model but not paint it?
Unfortunately not – out of all of the services we offer, painting is the only one that is mandatory. The Siege Team are all recognised competition winners, finalists or painters with an industry professional background and as such, we feel like their time is best spent painting!
Will you strip and repaint models that have already been painted?
If your models have been built & cleaned to our studio standard, more information on which can be found at our Building & Cleaning page we may be able to accept them in if they have already been primed or base coated. If this is the case, please state on your enquiry so that we can contact and ask for images if necessary.
If a model needs to be stripped, we will not accept it in to the studio as we do not offer this service. Personally we find that the risk factor of the chemicals damaging the plastic, resin, or metal along with the time involved, is not worth it when compared to the cost of buying a new model. We often find that the end results are also much more impressive from a brand new model.
How do you ensure my models will be safe in transit?
We have a dedicated quality control / packing team here at the studio who ensure that all models are as safely packaged as possible. You can view examples of our shipping & packaging process over at our Shipping page.
How do I keep up to date with my commission?
Built into the client experience at Siege we offer all clients regular updates, including confirming when your commission has been allocated to a painter, when work has started on your commission and also regular work in progress image updates on your commission. On top of this, you will find weekly work in progress images posted to our social media so you can keep up to date with your commission whenever you like, wherever you are.
Do I have to send you the models or can you order them in?
The choice is yours! You can either supply us with the models or we can purchase them on your behalf at a discounted price. We have accounts with many of the leading wargaming companies and suppliers, with any discounts we receive being passed on to our clients.
