Highest commercial quality.

Each Platinum model receives an exceptional investment of time, precision and artistic expertise. Every stage is executed with meticulous attention to detail, combining the most advanced techniques and highest levels of refinement to achieve an outstanding display finish that showcases the full potential of our artists’ abilities.

Non-Metallic Metal.

Available exclusively at our Platinum level, non-metallic metal (NMM) techniques create the illusion of reflective metal using carefully painted colours, light and shadow rather than metallic paints. This highly refined technique delivers exceptional depth and realism where required.

Smaller areas of freehand artwork are also included at no additional cost, with the scope and design discussed and agreed before your commencement fee is paid.

Not a minimum cost as such, but the minimum commission size will we take on is 10 Infantry sized models, or 1 individual character model / large singular model for Siege Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum levels. For Warrior Workshop the minimum commission size is 10 infantry models. If your enquiry meets either of those requirements, you’re good to go at whatever painting level required. If you’re unsure that your commission reaches those requirements, feel free to submit an enquiry regardless and we can advise on whether we would be able to move forward with your request.

We have a specific model list format that we require all enquiries to be written in that allow us to give you a bespoke, comprehensive quote that will help you best understand what you are paying for when it comes to your commission. We completely understand that when purchasing a premium commission such as those offered here at Siege that paying in one go might not be an option for everyone. We’d be happy to split your Commission Completion Fee in multiple payment steps if this would help you. Siege Studios is based in the UK, however we will happily ship projects internationally via DHL and have done regularly since our very first year as a business. For more information on international shipping don’t hesitate to ask.

No. Unfortunately, although more often than not products such as painted miniatures are exempt from any import tax or similar charge, this can differ between not only the individual projects but also their destination country, size, value and country of origin among other things. Any additional charges such as, but not limited to, customs fees and import taxes are at the responsibility of the recipient to pay and not Siege Studios. For any further information on this, please feel free to ask any questions when submitting an enquiry.

Once a quote has been accepted by the client and the Commission Commencement Fee has been completed, the commission enters its place on the Siege Studios waiting list. Each waiting list indicates an amount of time the client could be waiting before physical work on their commission begins. This is not a time frame in which a client can expect their commission to be completed.

The waiting list is split into several categories and Siege Studios will decide what waiting list best suits your commission and not the client.

The waiting lists are reviewed and updated every 6 months. Each waiting lists is estimated and is not a fixed timescale due to the bespoke nature of each commission. We are actively trying to reduce the waiting lists to a sensible time frame by putting in significant effort to hire new artists, streamlining our processes, taking on smaller projects etc.

If your commission has a mixture of painting levels, please refer to the lowest painting level for an estimated commencement date.

If your commission is a continuation of a previous commission and requires a specific artist, this might affect the waiting lists.

During the time the Commission Commencement Fee is paid but the project is not yet completed, if the same individual client then books in a new commission, paying a new Commission Commencement Fee Siege Studios reserves the right to combine the separate commissions together for the purposes of project completion, waiting list placement, waiting times, update emails and any other part of the process, without notifying the client.

Siege Studios reserves the right to change these waiting lists without notifying the client. We also advise that these waiting lists are an estimated guide time, and we reserve the right for a commission to take longer before beginning if needed.

If you have a specific date that you want your models for, such as a tournament or big game day, feel free to mention this on your enquiry and we can check this compared to our current workbook, waiting times and size of the job to see how close we can get to your deadline for you.

We will try our best to accommodate for your deadline but I’m sure you understand that when offering the quality of work that we do here at Siege, a quick turnaround will never be prioritised ahead of producing work above the industry standard.

The Siege team are character specialists, meaning they paint character models to a certain standard with a certain level of detail that just isn’t quite matched at our Bronze level. On top of this, Character models are painted from start to finish and not part of a batch painted group, unit or squad meaning that once a painter has started your character, they will dedicate all of their attention on it until it’s finished before moving on to the next part of the commission. This, again, is a level of attention and care that best suits a minimum level of Silver.

Unfortunately not – out of all of the services we offer, painting is the only one that is mandatory. The Siege Team are all recognised competition winners, finalists or painters with an industry professional background and as such, we feel like their time is best spent painting!

Unfortunately we do not accept models which are primed, base coated or painted. If any of these apply to your models, they would need to be stripped externally prior to us working on them. Unfortunately, we do not offer paint stripping as a service.

The stripping process of models is very abrasive and we would not take the risk as a studio due to the possible damage to models. In most cases we advise buying a full set of new models as the cost of the time involved with stripping the models can be costly and in excess to the cost of replacing them.

The projects we execute are a direct representation of Siege Studios Limited and painting over previous paintwork is not something that matches the premium quality of the painting we execute for our clients.

Should you wish to build and clean your models they will need to meet our studio standard and more information can be found on our Building & Cleaning page. Alternatively, we can build and clean your models for you.

We have a dedicated quality control / packing team here at the studio who ensure that all models are as safely packaged as possible.

Built into the client experience at Siege we offer all clients regular updates, including confirming when your commission has been allocated to a painter, when work has started on your commission and also regular work in progress image updates on your commission.

The choice is yours! You can either supply us with the models or we can purchase them on your behalf.
