The following are FAQs for attending one of our 1-day Blending & Weathering courses. For questions related to another course, please check the link in the product description for the appropriate ticket.
You DO NOT need to be double vaccinated to gain entry. Providing EITHER of the following is acceptable:
Proof of a negative lateral flow or PCR test result logged within 48 hours of the event OR
Proof of immunity based upon a positive PCR test result, clear of the 10 day isolation period, logged within 180 days of the event OR
Proof of double vaccination, with the 2nd dose received at least 14 days prior to the event
Just ONE of the above criteria is needed in order to gain entry.
For negative test results, they must be logged with the NHS, and the text/email confirmation will be accepted as proof. We do however encourage people to use the NHS App which not only shows your test results, but is also the way to prove your record of vaccination or immunity through previous infection.
Proof of double vaccination will be accepted either via the NHS app, or the paper vaccination card with matching photo-ID.
If you test positive or have been asked by test and trace to isolate, a refund or re-allocation will be available.
We’d like to thank you in advance for your co-operation in this matter and hope you can understand the necessity of these procedures in order to help us deliver the most risk-free environment for all of our attendees, tutors and the staff at the venue.
Please note these conditions may change at any given time and we will update any changes to our entry policy in line with government rules/guidance as they are communicated.
What supplies do I need to bring?
You will need to bring your own painting equipment, meaning brushes, painting lamp, paints, palette and anything else you require when painting. A full list of paints needed will be included in your course pack.
What supplies will Siege be providing for me?
Siege Studios will be providing any model parts that are being used in practical sections of the course, so you will not have to bring any of your own model parts if you don’t want to. We’ll also supply a variety of decals / transfers – though if you want to use a specific transfer on the course we recommend bringing your own.
Do I need to bring an Airbrush?
An airbrush is recommended, and if you have one and want to take part in the airbrushing sections of the course you will need to bring your full airbrush kit with compressor. However, airbrushing is a very small part of the course overall and if you do not own an airbrush any airbrushing steps can be prepared by the tutor for you so that you are still able to perform the other practical elements on the course.
Is the course too advanced for me?
Almost definitely not! Over the last 6 years we’ve taught this course to everyone from new-starters who haven’t laid a brush on a model yet, to competition winners. It’s an all-encompassing course designed to be beneficial to any level of painter.
How long is the lunch break?
There is a 1-hour lunch break scheduled per day.
Is there food and drink available?
Please check with the venue you will be attending.
