Barban Falk, The Warsmith. The Iron Ascendant. The Siege Eternal. A 360 look at the first of the @thearmouryuk brand launch miniatures. A character from the legendary Storm of Iron Iron Warriors book, who transcended mortal to Daemon form. Left in vagueness, nothing more is known of Falk so as one of our favourite characters from the book we thought a biomechanical Daemon Prince conversion would represent him well. Now melded into his Iron Circle โ€œwatcherโ€ with a splash of warp trickery and the antics of the Dark Mechanicums mastery, he now wages warโ€ฆ. No rapture. No ascension in flame or fury. Only integration. Forged in the warp-forges of the Eye of Terror, Falkโ€™s apotheosis did not remake him, it completed him. Bound with the Iron Circle that had stood at his side since the Great Crusade, flesh, machine, and daemon were unified into a singular instrument of attrition. Ceramite flowed, pistons fused with sinew, and daemonic circuitry coiled through iron like living intent. What stands now is not a being of excess or madness, but inevitability given form. Towering. Silent. Unyielding. Every step is measured. Every movement calculated. Servo-limbs lash with surgical precision, crushing, pinning, dismantling. An Emperors Children Chaos Space Marine sorcerer which we converted and painted to join an army of excess for our client! It was great to use a master of possession and make some minor changes and totally create a different piece for our clients collection. Astorthas the Inconstant of the Cult of Mutation, a Custom Service one off bespoke character commission which we have just completed as part of a Thousand Sons character commission phase all painted to our Platinum level. This truly impressive conversion and traditional hand sculpted additional details miniature is a real centrepiece miniature which has been an absolute joy to work on in all aspects in his creation and bringing to life. Scroll to photo 2 in the carousel to see a pre painted green and grey sculpt / conversion look behind the paint work! Painted with full non metallic metal (NMM) and with a super impressive cape freehand this guy is an immense miniature joining our clients collection. To finish up, here is a little about this awesome Thousand Sons character from our clientโ€ฆ Astorthas the Inconstant is a Thousand Sons Exalted Sorcerer of the Cult of Mutation. The only immutable property of Astorthas is his armour, which he relies upon to keep his physical presence in a functioning, cohesive state. His body, voice and even thought processes are in a constant state of flux while his stave ejects a warping biomass that turns those touched by it into a new member of his Chaos Spawn pack. This Cult of Mutation embodies the mutating aspect of Tzeentch. They embrace the warping of flesh and reality itself. A truly majestic Magnus The Red Daemon Primarch of The Thousand Sons, Patron of Tzeentch and The Crimson King that we have painted to our Platinum level. This truly exquisite collection centrepiece for our client was simply fantastic and we loved all the additional freehand on the wings that our client requested.
