DON’T ASK WHAT BRUSH! ASK WHY? “What brush do you use?” It’s a question I hear all the time, but honestly, it doesn’t really tell you very much. A much better question is: “Why do you use that brush?” What is it about that brush that makes you reach for it? The point? The spring? The shape? The control? How it holds paint? Or is it simply that you’ve used it for years and know exactly how it behaves? That’s the stuff that actually helps you understand your tools, rather than simply copying what another painter uses. Lion El’Jonson we loved painting to Platinum level, before paint this guy is a truly fantastic miniature, with paint added he is impressive! Our client wanted a rich and vibrant execution giving the Lion all the majesty he is known for. We loved the choice of a verdant forest basing scheme as if a nod to distant caliban of old. A vibrant Hawk Lords Primaris Balistus dreadnought from the studio army which we painted when Leviathan was released. Dreadnoughts are such an iconic unit from the Space Marines miniature line so it was great to see a new version released in this box nodding to OG original castraferrum pattern dreadnought of previous editions. We chose Hawk Lords for their purple chapter scheme and painted them really vibrant like early editions of 40k but with a modern take. Adding on all the chapter heraldry was done using the 30K Raven Guard transfer sheet and some others, we especially like the “bumper” stickers quotes of destruction that were adding for anyone advancing behind him! #primaris #primarismarines #astartes #spacemarines #spacemarine

A completed Custom Service stoic Iron Hands Primaris Captain that we have completed which was a great opportunity to do some awesome mechanical detailing to the Primaris form. His bionic leg was really fun to create and use an elevated base to accentuate the mechanical limb. This one off bespoke miniature was created to showcase the Iron Hands who are an often over looked chapter that has awesome lore. The use of red to add interest to the cold obsidian scheme on the lenses and purity seals was fun to do. It contrasts the armour and metallics well while not dominating the palette. ⚙️ What character would you have made as a one off bespoke miniature through Custom Service. #warhammer #ironhands #warhammercommunity #40k #primarismarines

A cold and merciless Slaves to Darkness Chaos Lord on Karkadrak which we really enjoyed painting for our client in a winter theme. This cold and dark magical scheme was a great spec to bring to life and really suited the army. Our client wanted their Lord to be the epitome of the force and be very menacing. A Tau Ghost Keel Battlesuit for our client in a high contrast sept scheme that was initially seen in a White Dwarf magazine! Our client loved the scheme and wanted his Ghost Keel to look as stealthy as possible in this black scheme. The palette gives a cold and merciless vibe that is complimented by the cold arctic basing which they elected for the piece to have. This has been a really fun addition to add to the army our client has been building with us over multiple phases. #tau #tauempire #warhammer #warhammer40k #40k

An imposing scythe wielding Armiger knight from the Anime Knight House army we have completed! This was a fantastic miniature to work on with some great custom parts provided by our client and the request for each knight in the army to be a different colour and have some fantastic anime themed freehand also added! It’s hard to choose which one we liked best as they are all so different but the emerald and rich green hues on this one were especially fun! ⚔️ What would you name this armiger and its pilot?

A Tyranid Swarm Lord from a custom hive fleet scheme massive army we are working in at the moment. Painted in a high contrast orange and black scheme, this custom Hive Fleet is really striking. The flesh parts having a pallid and neutral toned colour really helps to define all of the sections of the miniature. Every single Tyranid miniature in this army has been converted with crystals in their head to link to the psyker Inquisitor piloted flying hive we made and painted through Custom Service for this client. #tyranids #tyranid #shadowinthewarp #warhammer40k #thegreatdevourer
