An Iron Warriors Praetor miniature from the Forge World (Expert Resin) range that our client asked us to paint up but in a different scheme as a chapter master for their custom chapter.

The half metallic and half black scheme was super striking and we loved the way it sectioned the intricate miniature.

We loved the request to have a dark urban base to carry on the grim vibe of the character. There are so many awesome heresy sculpts and this one was great to work on.

⚙️ What is your favourite Horus Heresy character and why?

Urzog Tracksmasha, Evil Sunz Warboss of Da Red Rippa Waaagh! One of the characters we created for the @thearmouryuk launch miniature reveal!

Urzog should have died on Armageddon. A White Scars Captain tore through the melee and cut him clean in half, never even slowing down. But what was left of Urzog refused to die. Still alive and furious, he dragged himself through the ash, blasting anything that came close while his Nobz fought to keep him breathing. By the time the battle ended, he was barely more than muscle, armour, and pure hate.

When he woke, he did not ask for legs. He asked for tracks.

The Mekboyz built him into something louder, faster, and far more brutal. His mega armoured torso was bolted onto a roaring track unit that spat smoke, oil, and sparks as it tore across the battlefield. A massive power klaw for ripping enemies apart, and a multi barrelled gun welded into his armour that screams every time it spins up. Urzog loves the noise.

Clinging to his back is a single grot, Snikkit. No one told him to stay. He just never left. He fires the rear gun constantly, whether ordered or not, screaming as he reloads and holds on for dear life. Urzog keeps him because it works. The extra fire, the chaos, the noise. If Snikkit slips, he gets shoved back into place without a second thought.

Some Orks laughed at the idea of tracks. Urzog ran them down.

Nothing slows him. Not rubble, not trenches, not burning wrecks. The Red Rippa Waaagh follows the sound of his engines and the constant chatter of guns. To Urzog, speed is not about wheels.

It is about never stopping.

SHADOW HUNTER… A flashback to the 5th Custom Service miniature we created 5 years ago for the launch of Custom Service.

The studio Karandras miniature which is one of our favourite Phoenix Lords. We had to make him nod hard to Predator 2 on the roof of a building or structure.

For painting we referenced a classic bit of art where shadow hunter is defeating a Black Templar. Using rich greens and emeralds to tone the armour and bright golden details to contrast.

This was a super fun studio project and a great piece to wrap up the launch of Custom Service.

A 360 of the T’au Twin Lance that we completed in a custom sept scheme for our client.

These new battlesuit sculpts are simply fantastic and we loved the purple and turquoise scheme that we have painted on the miniatures.

The fire on their bases also contrasts and offers a warm set of tones to offset the purple and turquoise.

🔥 What are your favourite Tau miniatures?

A reveal of an WIP Emperors Children Custom Service one off bespoke character and a display base that we are making for him.

This has some exquisite conversion and traditional hand sculpting done to bring the overall piece to life as a moment of calm in the madness of war captured in time.

From weapons spawning from floral petals to fallen foes and portraits on the corridor walls there will be loads to take in once completed.

We cannot wait for to show you this impressive character and diorama once it’s painted for Slaanesh to perfection.

🔥 What would you have brought to life as a display or diorama for your collection?

A Leagues of Votann Kahl that we have completed as part of a first phase of a large Trans Hyperion Alliance army phase.

This super bright orange armour was really fun to paint alongside the blue contrasting accents on the sword, plasma and backpack tassels.

These sculpts are deceptively intricate and have lots to tackle including the filigree inlays and all the armour panels.

We finished off the piece with a neutral toned urban rocky basing theme which nicely offset the miniature.

A reveal and first look at our latest WIP one-off bespoke Custom Service character commission.

Our client wanted a bespoke sculpt and conversion that brings Griffith from the Berserk manga into miniature form. Converted, sculpted and built by hand for our client before moving on to the painting stage.

The painted reveal is going to be worth the wait, we cannot wait to show you!

What fictional character would you have us bring to life?

BLACK VIPERS army completed! This was a fantastic army phase project which involved lots of squads and some vehicles. Scroll through to see some close-ups of some of these guys, they are an ace chapter!

Using a mix of kits from both the Black Templars and the Primaris range, this army was really interesting to both build and also paint for our client.

The high contrast red and black scheme works fantastically, the use of the chapter transfer from the Dark Elf kit is also really clever.

All the black armour having blue highlight stages gives a very cold and menacing feel to the chapter and army. The colour temperature contrast of the blue highlighted armour works really well against the hot red details across the army.

Finishing the army off with desert themed bases contrast the dark Ahmed Models really well and kind of sets them on Armageddon which is also great for the time of addition that we are in currently.
